WHAT IS THE SEASON SCHEDULE?

  • U9 (Mighty Tykes) will be once a week for 10 weeks, starting May 21st and 22nd, and includes a jamboree at the end.
  • For U11 and older, pre-season will begin the second week of April. Teams will be allocated one practice per week for pre-season. Depending on registration numbers, evaluations may be completed to divide teams. We will not know specific dates until registration closes.
  • MMLL sets the game schedule which will begin in early May and run until the end of June with playoffs the first week of July. This schedule will be posted after registration closes in April and all association teams are set (same as hockey).

WHERE DO WE PLAY & PRACTICE?

  • Pre-season practices can be held at the Gray Arena and RBC Centre. Dry Floor facilities are in high demand so although it is not ideal, we take what we can so the kids can get out on the floor. As ice is removed from Sackville Arena, practices move there.
  • Games will be across facilities in HRM - Sackville Arena, Spryfield Lions Rink, RBC Centre, Eastern Shore Community Centre, Gray Arena, and Cole Harbour Place.

ARE THE TEAMS CO-ED?

  • As a Female, you can choose to play either Co-Ed or on a Female team. The Wolves have strong female numbers and continue to grow the female game. We will have a female-only team at each division in the league except for U9, which is fully co-ed, but we try to keep the girls together in a group.

WHAT ABOUT GOALIES?

  • Goaltenders are needed for all teams. Participants will receive upper goalie pads, leg guards, neck protector and a stick. Gloves, helmet and hockey/goalie pants will be needed. Wolves will provide goalie coaching and clinics throughout the season. Goaltenders receive a $50.00 discount on their next season's registration.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED?

WHAT IS THE MIGHTY TYKES PROGRAM?

The Wolves Mighty Tykes program is specifically designed for young, new players born between 2016 and 2019. Our Mighty Tykes play one hour per week in a fun and modified setting, perfect for learning the sport. Playing either Tuesdays or Wednesdays at the Sackville Arena from 6-7 PM, right before our Junior A teams’ home games! As part of the registration, each child receives a free jersey and stick*. ?The program starts at the end of May for 10 weeks of fun! Finishing off the 10-week program, Sackville will be hosting other associations for a jamboree, complete with games, BBQ, and exciting activities (location & time to be confirmed).
