The Wolves Lacrosse Association is excited to introduce a new Coach Mentorship Program, designed to support the development of new and aspiring coaches within our organization.
The program will pair developing coaches with experienced mentor coaches who have been trained through the National Coaching Certification Program. Through this mentorship relationship, participants will gain practical guidance, support, and insight into best practices for coaching and developing lacrosse players.
Coaching can be a challenging role to step into—especially for those who may be new to the sport or balancing other commitments. This program aims to help reduce those barriers by creating a structured environment where coaches can learn from experienced mentors, ask questions, and build confidence behind the bench.
Over the course of the season, mentor and mentee coaches will connect regularly, allowing mentees to observe, discuss, and apply coaching strategies while receiving direct feedback and support. The program will also include opportunities for professional development and coach education.
In its first year, the Wolves hope to support up to 10 mentor-mentee partnerships, helping strengthen the coaching community within the association and support the continued growth of the game.
More information about the program, including how to apply, can be found on the Coach Mentorship Program page.
