National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Sep. 30, 2025

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home and the Survivors of residential schools. We acknowledge the profound and lasting impact of this history on Indigenous communities.

Lacrosse is an Indigenous sport—the Creator’s Game. It was gifted by the Creator, passed down through generations, and remains an essential part of Indigenous communities, carrying with it teachings and traditions that live on.

At the Wolves Lacrosse Association, we recognize and respect the Indigenous origins of the game. We strive to honour its roots in the way we play, coach, and gather as a community, keeping the spirit of the game and its history at the centre of everything we do.
